Kronospan has been operating in Poland since 1989 – the economic changes as outlined in the „Round Table agreements” in 1990 meant that the green light was lit for foreign trade in our country.
Kronospan Grupa Polska, currently comprising of 10 sites, is a Polish leader in the wood-based product trade.
The beginning of Kronospan’s history in Poland was establishing a joint venture with the Chipboard Site (Zakład Płyt Wiórowych - ZPW) in Szczecinek.
During 15 years of its activities, Kronospan invested over one billion dollars in construction or in modernisation of the existing companies, which, according to PAIIZ, places the company in the 13th position among the biggest foreign investors in Poland.
The basic business of the Group is addressed both to industrial companies (B2B) and to individual customers (B2C).
The strategic task of Kronospan in Poland is a comprehensive partnership for the furniture industry – companies of the Group manufacture materials mainly for production of furniture. Currently, the Kronospan brand is known mainly for high quality MDF,HDF and chipboard panels. High investment expenditure on new technologies, keeping thorough track of market trends and many year long experience in cooperation with the biggest representatives of furniture sector has meant that Kronospan Grupa Polska have become one of the most reliable suppliers of semi-finished products for the industry not only in Poland, but also abroad. In fact, the companies export their products to markets all over the world.
Finishing materials are an essential part of Kronospan’s range in Poland, made according to bespoke requirements to individual customers. The Group’s production portfolio includes floor panels, wall panels, finishing slats, worktops, shelves and accessories for independent assembly and maintenance.
