Together with Kronoflooring Mielec, Kronospan created a modern centre for production of materials for furniture and building industry, considerably contributing to reduction of unemployment in the region.

Kronospan Mielec was equipped with one of the most modern chipboard production line in the world and complex plants for improvement of wood-based panel surface. According to the trends prevailing in the European Union countries, the company bases its production on timber waste materials, therefore a complex system of wood waste collection and transportation enabling supply of the raw materials to the producer was introduced all over the country

In addition, Kronospan Mielec is regularly rewarded for its care for natural environment. The company, running its business in line with the principles of environment friendly forest management, received an FSC certificate which is granted to the companies cooperating with the worldwide environment protection Fund. Kronospan Mielec is also a participant of the Clean Business program, belongs to ISO association, and in 2002 was awarded with Fair Play Enterprise certificate.
